Dear Friends and Colleagues,                                                                                                    

On behalf of the Board of Directors and Search Committee of the International School of Kigali in Kigali, Rwanda, I am pleased to announce that after a worldwide search which produced a large number of highly qualified candidates, Mr. Seamus Hennessy has been appointed as the new ISK Director, beginning in July 2016 for the 2016-17 academic year. Mr. Hennessy is currently Deputy Director of The International School of Gabon Ruban Vert in Libreville, Gabon, a position he has held since 2013. Prior to his current position he was Deputy Head of the British School in Lome, Togo. He has held other administrative positions in India and in the British Virgin Islands. He has taught in the USA, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, France and in his native Ireland.

Mr. Hennessy earned a Master of Arts in International Education from Oxford Brookes University and a BA and Higher Diploma degrees from University College Cork in Ireland.

Did You Know…?

Senior Associate Bill Turner’s international teaching career has taken him to Sudan, Italy, Qatar and the UAE as well as his home country of England. His very first teaching position was in rural Sudan.
