What Are The Criteria For Selection?

Through our experience, we have found the following key characteristics and accomplishments to be predictable indicators of success as an SAISIP intern:

• Willingness to consider several regions of the world in your application process.
• Extraordinary flexibility and adaptability.
• Exceptional academic achievement - In U.S. terms, a Grade Point Average of at least 3.2 or higher, is preferred. A copy of your official or unofficial transcript is required.
• Emotional maturity.
• Successful coaching, tutoring or other direct experience with 5-18 year olds.
• Personal commitment.
• Vitality, energy and initiative.
• Resourcefulness and creativity.
• Inter-cultural living or working experience.
• A keen sense of humor.
