Dear Colleagues,

Below please find an announcement from the search committee for the new Head of School at Marymount International School of Rome.  Sarah will be replacing Maria Castelluccio, whom some of you may know.

“The Board of Trustees has named Ms. Sarah Gallagher, current Headmistress of Marymount International School London, as Head of Marymount International School Rome beginning August 2016. She is no stranger to Marymount International School Rome having served as a member of the Board of Regents for six years.  From August 2016 Ms. Gallagher will be the Executive Head of both the London and Rome Schools. Effectively this will mean a period of shared leadership between the two Schools. This model has been widely used in other school communities and has been successfully used within the RSHM Network of Schools.  As of August 2017, Ms. Gallagher will be responsible solely for Marymount Rome.”

As you can imagine, this search generated quite a lot of interest!  And in the end, they found someone within their own ranks.
