The Secondary School Principal can exhibit and effectively communicate a comprehensive understanding of the IB Middle Years Program, and IB Diploma Program. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a track record of commitment and experience in successfully leading inquiry based disciplinary/interdisciplinary programs leading to successful graduation of Grade 12 students. The Secondary School Principal will cherish the culture of excellence by championing intentional and inclusive approaches to teaching and learning.

  

About the role

The Secondary School Principal has overall responsibility for the education and wellbeing of 320 students and 40 faculty across Grades 6 to 12.  The Principal reports directly to the Head of School and collaborates with the Secondary Leadership Team to ensure quality programs for learners and professional growth and development for teachers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Leading the implementation and development of CA’s educational programs.
  • Maintaining a culture of excellence in Secondary School whilst ensuring the division continues to evolve.
  • Leading and implementation of strategic and operational goals.
  • Ensuring that all teaching and learning meets the needs of the diverse student population.
  • Implementing the school’s professional growth and teacher appraisal frameworks.
  • Effectively managing the budgetary and other operational systems of the division.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years principal experience in an IB international school context.
  • A recognized graduate degree in educational leadership.
