Mission:
To serve the nation by educating its children is the belief of Bangladesh International Tutorial (BIT).
The school aims to provide an English medium education of the highest quality, in accordance with the London Board/EdExcel O’Level & A’Level curriculum.
BIT has also always encouraged the community to enroll all children with special needs and the institution feels that this example must be and will eventually be adopted world-wide as it is a good learning process for all.
The Premises:
The school has various sections, all primarily physically situated in the expatriate enclave area, Gulshan (each within five-ten minutes driving distance from each other). State of the art facilities are under construction with a move in date of 2013.
School sections are geographically divided into Gulshan area campuses for Play School, Kindergarten Section, Junior School, Coed Section, Girls' Section and the GCE Campus). Each campus has an Assistant Principal and a small office staff than governs their 350 student body.
Another residential area 30 minutes out includes a hub of campuses: the Uttara KG Section, Uttara Junior Section and Uttara Senior Section.
The GCE campus houses the Principal’s Office and Main Administrative headquarters. The total staff size numbers 300.
Curriculum:
Serves 2300 local and some expatriate children from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Curriculum is determined by EdExcel Board coursework for the Ordinary and Advanced Level qualifying exams in the 10th and 12th grade.
Job Description:
- Responsible for covering overall administrative activities of the schools for grades K-12 along with the assistant principals (heads) of each section.
- Conduct one weekly meeting with all heads of school to review individual school overviews.
- Work with admissions staff and on site GCE Assistant Principal on admissions process.
- Must uphold rigorous standards of discipline and academic work, review study plans and ensure that each section is monitored for maintaining a high teaching standard.
- Supervise and hire local staff.
- Work with the staff to annually tweak books and book lists.
- Ability to establish budgetary priorities and to operate within the approved budget. (School financials monitored by the Founder Principal/Chairperson.)
- Daily routine will also involve a physical visit to one of the campuses.
- Reports weekly to the Founder Principal/Chairperson whose energies are mostly focused on school construction and finances.

Calendar:
The academic year includes 200 school days in two semesters. The first semester runs from mid August to late January. The second semester begins in February and continues to late June.
Qualifications:
Must have Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Education. Candidate with some administrative experience in public or private schools also preferred. More qualified candidates will be offered a better package. This particular position demands an independent, positive, high energy leader who believes in "management by walking around" as a must.
Language Used as a Method of Teaching:
English and qualifying exams in grade 10 & 12 are under the UK EdExcel board.
Salary & Benefits:
- Annual Salary: $48,000+ (nominal payment in local taxes handled by school)
