Search for a Business Manager for the establishment and operation of schools in JGEC
The Jeju Free International City Development Center (JDC) is seeking a Business Manager who will assume responsibility for establishing the North London Collegiate School, Jeju (NLCS, Jeju) in cooperation with a British partner in the Jeju Global Education City (JGEC).
Background and Position
The Jeju Free International City Development Center (JDC) is a public enterprise established under the Korean Ministry of Land, Transportation and Maritime Affairs. It was created in 2002 with the mission to develop and support Jeju (a self-governed province and island at the tip of South Korea) at a national level, in accordance with the Special Act on Establishment of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and Formation of a Free International City.
The Jeju Global Education City is a key development project of the JDC and currently under construction, and JDC signed the Cooperative Venture Agreement with the British partner on 26 March 2010 to establish the NLCS, Jeju. NLCS, Jeju will be the first school to open in the JGEC and will educate up to 1400 students in a co-educational boarding and day school scheduled to open by September 2011. In preparation for the opening, JDC is establishing a school entity, to provide start-up assistance and ongoing business services, to NLCS, Jeju, and the other schools that will follow in subsequent years.
JDC is seeking an experienced professional qualified to establish and manage a school entity closely working with schools, which will be a fully owned subsidiary company of the JDC.

Qualifications
Qualified applicants should be familiar with school development, business operations of school and have a hands-on experience on Korean education market. Experience in international education is desirable. Fluency in English is required and Korean speaking ability is a plus.
Compensation: Salary and benefits will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
