Deputy Head of School for Learning

Position Brief: The Deputy Head will oversee the implementation and assessment of the academic program, ensuring that student learning is the focus of all instructional programs from Early Childhood through Grade 12. The Deputy Head will provide leadership and coaching to Principals and Learning Leaders in the areas of curriculum development and implementation as well as professional learning. He/she will work in a collaborative manner with administrators, teachers, students and parents to model and promote the JIS Essential Qualities and support a 21st Century learning-focused school.
School Profile: Jakarta International School (JIS), founded in 1951, is a university preparatory school with 2,400 students from over 60 nationalities in Early Childhood through Grade 12. JIS offers a broad and challenging program in the English language, primarily to students of foreign nationalities who temporarily reside in Indonesia.
