In the summer of 2017, Jennifer Imholt began running the Washington office, representing the west coast region of the U.S. alongside her husband, Senior Associate Bob Imholt.
Jennifer is a Spanish speaker, and has worked as teacher and administrator for 23 years in international schools chiefly in that region. She and her husband worked for 11 years in South America. As such, she is the perfect choice to explore opportunities in the Latin America region and to be the organizer of the Search Latin America Fair, coming soon to Panama City!
After graduating from Washington State University with a B.A. Communications, Public Relations in 1992, Jennifer became certified as a K-8 teacher and earned her Master’s in Teaching, with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction at City University in Washington.
From 1994–1996, Jennifer taught in Washington State before moving overseas with Bob. For the next 17 years, she taught in schools in Qatar, Japan, Venezuela, Paraguay, and Colombia. A variety of leadership positions ensued. Jennifer served as IEP Case Manager, Primary & Elementary at Colegio Neuva Granada’s Learning Center in Bogota, Colombia. She became Curriculum Coordinator Pre-K-12 in 2014 at the International Community School of Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, and later that same year, Jennifer took the helm as Interim Lower School Principal at ICSA. Upon returning to the US, Jennifer most recently taught second grade in a bilingual, dual-immersion Spanish program at PS 33 Bilingual Center in Buffalo, New York.
Jennifer enjoys traveling internationally, gourmet and exotic foods, raising chickens and many outdoor activities such as hiking with her family.

As an international educator, Bob worked at 6 international schools as teacher, athletic director, vice-principal, K-12 principal, middle school principal, deputy director and director. He was also the director of the International Graduate Program for Educators at SUNY Buffalo State, serving 1,800 graduate students working at international schools around the world.
Bob has his bachelor's (BA) and master's (MIT) degrees from the Evergreen State College and his PhD in K-12 Educational Leadership from Touro University.
Bob and his wife, Jennifer – an equally experienced international school educator and administrator – will run the office and support Search Associate candidates and schools.
At Search Associates, Bob will be responsible for the West Coast regions, which includes the states of Washington, Oregon, California and Nevada. He will also be responsible for the February San Francisco recruiting fair. He partners with Jennifer to bring you the NEW Latin America Fair coming to Panama City in 2018!
