References That Actually Mean Something
Every educator profile includes confidential professional references, submitted directly by the referees themselves. New members provide a minimum of four, including references from direct supervisors, typically an assistant principal, principal, head of school, or equivalent leader. Returning members update theirs to reflect recent experience. These are required, not optional, and they are there when you need them. We encourage schools to go further: call a reference directly before extending an offer, one of the most important steps in responsible hiring.
