Lori Marek has been hired as the Deputy Head of United World College Costa Rica for the next academic year. Lori is currently in her third year as High School Principal at the American International School of Kuwait.  Previously, Lori worked for three years at YK Pao Secondary School in Shanghai.  She was hired as Deputy Principal and was head of that school by the second semester.  She then moved to another campus where she was the Deputy Principal, only to become the founding Head of Campus/Principal.  Prior to her time in China, Lori served as Middle School Principal at the International School Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago.  From 2011-2014 Lori was at the American International School of Kuwait where she served one year as Head of the English Department and was then promoted to Elementary Assistant Principal.  Prior to going overseas, she was a Theatre Arts and English teacher and Middle School Principal in her native Texas.
