Dear Friends and Colleagues,
On behalf of the Board of Directors and Search Committee of the American International School of Brazzaville, in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, and Search Associates, we are pleased to announce that after a worldwide search which produced a large number of highly qualified candidates, Dr. Terry Howard has been appointed as the new Director, beginning in August 2016.
Dr. Howard is currently Director of the American International School of Libreville in Libreville, Gabon. He has held other administrative positions at the International School of Kenya and has worked as a Staff Counselor with UNICEF / UNDPKO in both Nigeria and South Sudan. After serving with the US Peace Corps in Liberia early in his career, he went on to teach Biology, General Science and math at international schools in Kuwait, Norway and Kenya as well as in the USA.
Dr. Howard earned a BA in Education from Bethel College in Indiana, an MA in Education from Indiana University in South Bend, Indiana and a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida.
