Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the Search Committee and Board of Directors of the International School of Tanganyika, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, I am pleased to announce that after a worldwide search which produced a large number of highly qualified candidates, Dr. Mark Hardeman has been appointed as the new Director for the 2017-18 academic year.
Dr. Hardeman is currently Deputy Head of School of the International School of Beijing, in Beijing, The People’s Republic of China. He has previously held administrative leadership and teaching positions in China, the UAE, Kuwait and Canada.
Dr. Hardeman earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, USA. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Wollongong, in Australia, and a BA in Education from the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada.
The Search Committee, IST Board of Directors and Search Associates would like to thank all candidates who expressed interest in the International School of Tanganyika Director position, and to everyone who assisted and supported the search process.
