Director - January 2023
Colegio Albania (Colombia)

Simon Fulford has been hired as the new Director of Colegio Albania in La Guajira, Colombia, starting in January 2023.  The school in an IB World School owned and managed by Cerrejon, a mining company, for the all-Colombian student body. 

Simon is currently the Rector at Colegio Internacional de Educación Integral in Bogota.  In his seven years there, he has served in a number of roles:  IB PYP Coordinator, IB Director of Curriculum and Instruction, and for the past 4 years as Headteacher/Rector.  Previously, Simon worked at Colegio Albania for seven years as PYP Coordinator and a Primary School teacher.  He describes La Guajira and the remote mining community as Shangri La. Simon has also taught in his native England, at Colegio Granadino in Colombia, and in Cairo, Egypt.

We wish Simon and his wife all the best on their return to Colegio Albania which will celebrate the 40^th anniversary of it’s founding next school year.
