Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of Ms. Bindu Oberoi, Board Chair at Oberoi International School, Mumbai, India, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Patrick Hurworth as the Head of School beginning in July 2024.

Patrick is currently the Head of the Dover Campus at the United World College of Southeast Asia in Singapore.  Previous administrative positions include serving as the Head of School at the International School of Beijing, PRC; the High School Principal at the Hong Kong International School, SAR Hong Kong; and the Assistant Principal, High School Principal and Secondary School Principal at the Atlanta International School, Atlanta, GA.

In the announcement from Ms. Oberoi to the OIS community, she said “Patrick Hurworth’s experience, beliefs and philosophy make him a perfect fit to take over the reins from Peter Murphy and continue to lead our school to great heights.”

In accepting the position, Patrick said “I consider Oberoi to be a community in which I would thrive.  I have long wanted to live and work in India and this opportunity manifests as a wonderful professional and personal opportunity.”
