School Details

Colegio Franklin Delano Roosevelt, founded in 1946 by American residents in Peru, is a non-sectarian, non-profit, independent international school providing a college preparatory program in English for students from age 3 through grade 12.

Colegio Roosevelt is accredited by Cognia (formerly AdvancED) and the Peruvian Ministry of Education and is recognized as the official U.S. State Department Office of Overseas School in Peru serving the international business and diplomatic community, as well as host country nationals seeking an American-style education. Colegio Roosevelt is considered a lighthouse school, thought partner, and global competitor in American, international schooling worldwide. As an AMISA distinguished school, Colegio Roosevelt is a leading school in Central and South America.

Colegio Roosevelt’s educational program is co-educational and non-residential. The school’s curriculum is robust. The early childhood program is grounded in the tenets of the stages of child development, language acquisition and problem solving. As children grow into the elementary grade levels and into the middle years, the Roosevelt Curriculum unfolds with inquiry-focused learning designed with competitive international academic standards and exploratory offerings in the fine and performing arts, technology and innovation, visits to one of three libraries, Spanish language studies, and physical education and aquatics and health, wellness and social emotional learning. As students grow into the High School the school provides a strong advisory program and college guidance support. In the High School, the academic program flourishes with opportunities to pursue a two year program known as the Innovation Academy, and later selections to continue with the Global Impact Diploma or pursue the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program in grades 11 and 12th.

Colegio Roosevelt believes that all Condors should be known, valued, seen and heard and therefore we provide a comprehensive student support program that includes counseling, college guidance, learning support, and English as an Additional Language (EAL). Colegio Roosevelt's signature is our extensive and broad range of after school and extracurricular offerings - ASA's, Condor athletics, Artistic Grooves, ES/MS/HS clubs, summer/winter academies, and PTA events. Colegio Roosevelt’s global citizenship program, community service projects, and opportunities to explore Peru in our Classroom Without Walls experiences further exhibits our Mission promise.
