Position Location 

We are seeking a Senior Associate to oversee recruitment efforts in the following U.S. territory: 
New England, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington, D.C. 
 
Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents (Green Card holders) currently residing in the U.S. Strong preference will be given to candidates who live within this territory or an adjacent state. 

Key Responsibilities 

As a Senior Associate, you will oversee recruitment, engagement, data oversight, and candidate support for educators within your assigned territory. You will ensure that every candidate receives an exceptional, high-touch experience from initial inquiry through active membership and beyond. In addition to supporting individual candidates, you will work closely with internal teams to grow the territory and strengthen the reach and impact of Search Associates across the U.S. 

Candidate Management, Platform Oversight & Invoicing

  •  Serve as the first point of contact for prospective candidates in your territory, guiding them through the application and registration process.
  •  Review and assess candidate eligibility for membership in accordance with Search Associates' established criteria.
  •  Supervise and manage a team of support staff dedicated to assisting in the application and screening process.
  • Screen, evaluate, and register candidates, ensuring alignment with Search Associates’ high membership standards.
  •  Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records, ensuring the database reflects the most current information.
  •  Respond to candidate inquiries and offer professional support during the job search process, when requested.
  •  Assist candidates in navigating the Search Associates platform and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
  •  Monitor platform activity, understand system capabilities, and guide candidates in making full use of available tools.
  •  Responsible for generating and managing all candidate invoicing in your region, ensuring timely processing, tracking, and recordkeeping. 

Cambridge Job Fair: Strategic Candidate Funnel

  •  Lead the strategic recruitment funnel for the Cambridge Job Fair, one of Search Associates' flagship recruitment events.
  •  Identify, prepare, and support high-quality candidates within your territory to ensure strong representation at the fair.
  • Promote the fair throughout the region via marketing, webinars, outreach events, and targeted communications.
  • Prepare candidates for the fair experience by helping them understand what to expect, how to stand out, and how to navigate interviews, schedules, and follow-ups effectively.
  •  Ensure your territory delivers a consistent, high-caliber pipeline of candidates who are informed, ready, and aligned with the expectations of international schools attending the event. 

Marketing, Outreach & Candidate Pipeline Growth

  •  Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to attract new educators to Search Associates, with an emphasis on mission fit and quality.
  •  Build relationships with university education departments, alumni groups, and teacher training programs to ensure a long-term, sustainable recruitment pipeline.
  • Represent Search Associates at regional teacher conferences, professional networks, and job fairs, as needed.
  •  Host and facilitate virtual and in-person information sessions, networking events, and webinars to engage potential candidates and generate interest in membership. 

School Engagement & Membership Value

  •  Support international schools by ensuring your candidates are thoroughly prepared and informed about the recruitment process and expectations.
  • Promote the value of Search Associates membership through consistent candidate readiness, professionalism, and transparency.
  • Stay informed about international school trends, regional hiring needs, and market changes to better position your candidates and advise the broader team. 

Strategic Collaboration & Business Development

  •  Collaborate with internal teams and fellow Senior Associates on broader initiatives that contribute to the growth and strategic direction of the organization. 
  • Share insights and regional data to inform company planning, marketing campaigns, and platform enhancements.
  •  Actively support DEI-focused efforts within the organization and in candidate recruitment, maintaining a culture of access, inclusion, and belonging.
  •  Take initiative to strengthen the visibility, value, and success of Search Associates in your territory through relationship-building, innovation, and collaboration. 

Required Qualifications & Skills 

Education & Experience

  •  Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum three to five years of teaching experience in U.S. K–12 schools.
  •  At least three years of experience in international education.
  • Leadership experience (Assistant Principal, Divisional Principal, Head of Teaching & Learning, Deputy Head, Head of School, etc.) is preferred. 

Skills & Competencies

  •  Exceptional time management and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, independent work environment.
  •  Must possess a high level of empathy, understanding, and integrity, ensuring candidates feel supported throughout their journey.
  •  Strong technology proficiency, including experience with Canva, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Google Drive, and digital marketing tools.
  •  Ability to learn and adapt to new technology platforms quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information effectively.
  • Interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect, support, and inspire educators.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to grow and develop recruitment within the assigned territory.
  • Cultural awareness and competency, with a strong commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
  • A team-oriented, collaborative approach while also being a self-motivated, independent professional.

Contract Status 

This is a full-time, remote position that will be held under an independent contractor agreement. In the United States, this is classified as 1099 status. The appointee will be responsible for managing their own health insurance and any other mandatory contributions or payments as required by applicable law.
