A World-Class Teaching Opportunity in the Pearl of the Pearl River Delta

Located in the scenic Nansha District of Guangzhou and surrounded by green hills and open vistas, Guangzhou Ulink International School (GUIS) offers a dynamic K–12 educational experience built on over two decades of academic excellence. Operated by Guangzhou ULink Education, GUIS brings together two prestigious high school programs under one roof: ULink College (ULC), which offers the British high school curriculum, and Nansha College Preparatory Academy (NCPA), which follows the American high school curriculum. These programs have guided more than 3,000 graduates to leading universities around the world.

The school is ideally situated in the heart of the Pearl River Delta, a key economic and transportation hub in southern China. Within approximately one hour, residents can access major cities and airports including Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Shenzhen. The area offers a rich lifestyle experience with attractions such as the Nansha Marina, Nansha Grand Hotel, golf courses, parks, and the Nansha Ferry Terminal.

Designed to international school standards with an approach that blends local and global design perspectives, the GUIS campus preserves the natural beauty of its surroundings. The academic heart of the campus is formed by four main buildings arranged around a central quad, housing classrooms, science laboratories, a library, a multimedia lecture hall, and an e-learning center. The expansive grounds also include gymnasiums, an art center, tennis and basketball courts, a football pitch and athletics track, a swimming pool, and a two-story multi-purpose commons area—all set amidst lush greenery and a peaceful environment.

Accredited by China’s Ministry of Education, GUIS serves 1,260 boarding students, the majority of whom are from China, and offers a rigorous curriculum aligned with U.S. Common Core standards, IGCSE, A Levels, and Advanced Placement courses. The school’s international faculty is composed of educators from diverse backgrounds, including nearly half of whom Chinese nationals.

Student life at GUIS is rich and well-rounded, with a wide variety of extracurricular activities available throughout the school year. Leadership opportunities are accessible through the Student Union, and students are encouraged to participate in community initiatives and clubs that align with their passions. Whether exploring the arts through dance, music, and film, deepening academic interests in biology, coding, finance, or literature, or sports and specialty clubs such as swimming, baseball, volleyball, cooking, and Model UN, every student finds a place to thrive.

GUIS welcomes experienced, certified educators from around the world, including teaching couples and those with non-teaching partners. While a degree in the specific teaching subject is not required, all teachers must hold valid certification, and under Chinese immigration regulations, work visas are available to certified educators up to age 60.

The school offers a competitive overseas teaching benefits package, including furnished housing with an annual utilities’ stipend, airfare for teachers and their children under 12, retirement fund contributions, and free tuition for up to two children. Additional perks include professional development allowances, school-provided lunches, and comprehensive international health insurance—excluding the U.S.—which covers medical, dental, life, long-term disability, and emergency evacuation needs.
