Search Associates is thrilled to welcome Dr. Tim Stuart to the newly created executive role—Director of Leadership Recruitment and Global Partnerships. This strategic position brings together the responsibilities of our former Director of School Relations with oversight of our expanding Consulting Division, allowing us to better serve our schools through integrated leadership search and advisory support.
Strengthening Leadership Recruitment and Global School Partnerships
In this role, Dr. Stuart will focus on deepening relationships with our member schools, cultivating strategic partnerships worldwide, and advancing our leadership recruitment and consulting services. These services include head of school and senior leadership searches, as well as governance support, strategic planning, and human resources consulting. Tim's leadership will help align these key functions to ensure that our schools receive the highest level of support—strategically, operationally, and educationally.
A Leader in International Education
Dr. Stuart brings over 31 years of experience in international education, having served as Head of School, Principal, and Executive Director of Research and Development at prestigious institutions such as Singapore American School, Jakarta Intercultural School, and the International Community School of Addis Ababa. In each of these roles, he has led transformational change efforts, mentored educators and leadership teams, and fostered inclusive, high-performing learning environments.
Most recently, Tim served as a Regional Education Officer for the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Overseas Schools, where he supported international schools and regional associations across the globe. He is also a published author and keynote speaker, widely recognized for his work in personalized learning, Professional Learning Communities, and system-wide innovation. In 2025, Dr. Stuart was named the recipient of the ECIS Outstanding Service to International Education award.

His appointment marks a significant step forward in our continued mission to support schools in finding exceptional leaders and advancing institutional excellence worldwide.
