Diana Kerry fills key Intern Recruitment Coordinator role

Experienced international teacher Diana Kerry has joined Search to coordinate intern recruitment.

Diana Kerry has extensive professional experience in education, having worked as a teacher at schools in Iran, Indonesia, Thailand and France. She already has close ties with Search Associates, and has helped sign up intern candidates in the Boston area in recent years.

Her experience has included five years working as an Arts Program consultant, where she was responsible fora global awareness drama program and numerous workshops for international students. She also has considerable background in civic education, having spent five years at North Shore Community College as Director of the Public Policy Institute there.

Founding Director of Search Associates, John Magagna, describes Diana as "a stellar and popular teacher and a brilliant linguist." He said her experience, expertise and talent would make a significant contribution to the Search team going forward.

Talking about her new role for Search Associates, Diana commented:

"The intern program is an exciting opportunity for recent college graduates to gain experience teaching overseas. I am very pleased to take on the role of coordinating intern recruitment, and hope to expand around the world."

In her new role, Diana will promote the paid internship program by contacting international schools regarding potential openings and recruiting college students interested in teaching overseas. She plans to visit a wide range of college campuses during the fall, including Harvard, Mount Holyoke, Smith College, Wheaton and several others in New England. She will work to connect intern candidates and schools at the Cambridge job fair in February, 2013.
