Discover International Teaching Opportunities at the Affiliated School of JNU for Hong Kong and Macao Students

Explore a rewarding career at the Affiliated School of JNU for Hong Kong and Macao Students (ASJ), an international school founded within the dynamic context of China’s Greater Bay Area and the Pilot Demonstration Area. As the first school in the region dedicated to students from Hong Kong and Macao and supervised by a leading university, ASJ offers a seamless 15-year international education from early years through high school. The school welcomes students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and expatriate families and is proud of its multicultural community and state-of-the-art facilities.

ASJ’s mission is to deliver a holistic, high-quality education through a student-centered, inquiry-driven approach that supports young people as they navigate an increasingly complex world. Guided by the vision that “Every child can be successful,” the school prioritizes each learner’s strengths and potential:

Language and humanity, music and arts, science and technology, innovation and creativity, physical education and health, environmental and life science are the key learning areas that can inspire our students to achieve their full potential. Finally, our students will become lifelong competent authentic learners with international mindedness. They are willing to contribute their knowledge and skill to make a better loving and caring world.

In just four years, ASJ has expanded to five campuses across the region—Pazhou (in preparation), Tianhe, Nansha, Dongguan, and Foshan—forming a collaborative and forward-thinking educational network. Both the Pazhou (in preparation) and Tianhe campuses are centrally located in Guangzhou, approximately 40 minutes from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.

Licensed by the Ministry of Education, authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization, and a member of the Council of International Schools, ASJ blends the IB philosophy with a Hong Kong–centered academic framework. The school offers the HKDSE, IB, A-Level, and Advanced Placement pathways, preparing students for universities in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and around the world. With a strong focus on bi-literacy and trilingualism, ASJ integrates multicultural learning with a high-tech educational environment.

ASJ currently serves 1,200 K–12 boarding students, about 10 percent of whom are international. While most teachers come from the region and over 30 percent have international experience, the school welcomes passionate educators from around the globe to join its growing community.

ASJ hires experienced educators from a wide range of backgrounds. In accordance with government regulations, educators under the age of 60 are eligible for a work visa.

The school offers a competitive salary and benefits package, extensive professional development, and relocation support. Additional benefits include flight allowance, free lunch and shuttle bus, an annual physical examination, and comprehensive local health insurance. ASJ also provides substantial tuition support for dependents, including a 70 percent discount for one child during the first year and full tuition for one child from the second year.

Warm, innovative, and rapidly expanding, ASJ invites international educators to become part of a vibrant learning community committed to student success and global-minded education.
