On behalf of the American Embassy School (AES) community in New Delhi, Search Associates is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Molly Myers as the new Elementary School Principal, beginning July 2026. Dr. Myers shared her excitement about joining the AES community:
Thank you for welcoming me into this remarkable school…I am thrilled to join the vibrant, diverse, and inclusive community at AES—a school that values the joyful pursuit of excellence. I am eager to contribute to the AES community, bringing my dedication to collaboration, joy, and continuous growth to this dynamic and inspiring environment.
Dr. Myers currently serves as the Lower School Principal at Shanghai Community International School (SCIS), Pudong Campus, in Shanghai, China where she is recognized for her expertise in data-informed instructional leadership and her ability to cultivate inclusive, student-centered learning communities. Reflecting on her leadership philosophy, she notes:
As an educator, my passion lies in building positive school cultures by fostering collective learning and meaningful collaboration among students, teachers, and families.
Throughout her career, Dr. Myers has championed professional learning communities, curriculum coherence, and a culture of care and high expectations, priorities that align closely with AES’s mission and community ethos. As a leader, Molly draws inspiration from the words of researcher and author Brené Brown:
"Clear is kind; unclear is unkind." This simple yet profound principle has shaped my approach as an empathetic leader, guiding me to prioritize transparency and understanding in every interaction. By being intentional with how, what, and why I am communicating, I aim to provide a safe and supportive space for all to succeed.
Dr. Myers brings a strong academic foundation to her new role, holding an Ed.D. in Instructional Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and an M.A. in Educational Leadership, Politics, and Advocacy from New York University. Her blend of scholarly insight and hands-on international experience has shaped her as a reflective and globally minded school leader.
Outside of her professional life, Molly enjoys hobbies that fuel her adventurous spirit. Whether it is riding motorcycles with her husband Stephen, playing roller derby, or dabbling in Muy Thai Boxing, she is energized by overcoming challenges. To balance her enthusiasm for speed, Molly loves slowing down to capture the world through street photography, experimenting in her garden, and sharing her love of food by cooking elaborate meals for loved ones.
Having traveled extensively in India, Molly is thrilled to return to a country she loves and looks forward to collaborating with “such talented and passionate educators.”
AES and Search Associates wish to thank all candidates who expressed interest in this important position, and to the many AES leaders, faculty, staff, parents, and students whose thoughtful engagement contributed to a successful search.
