High School Principal search - Mexico

Search Associates founder and Associate John Magagna is leading the search for a new High School Principal for the American School Foundation of Guadalajara (ASFG), Mexico.

The private, coeducational school, which offers an educational program from nursery through to grade 12, was founded in 1908 and has a current student body of 1519. Ninety seven per cent of graduating seniors go on to attend 4 year colleges.

Under the stewardship of its current General Director, Janet Heinze, who has been in place for some 10 years, the school is known for its stability and quality. Janet will be succeeded in 2013 by the present High School Principal, David McGrath, who has been at the school since 1997.

John Magagna, whose team of Associates has assisted with some 500 Head Searches over the last 20 years, said:

"ASFG is now looking to recruit an outstanding and experienced High School Principal to take on the challenge and opportunity of joining this fine school. I am personally very pleased to be involved in the efforts to try to find the best person for the job."
John has received widespread praise from schools for his role in helping to make key appointments. Governing Boards frequently comment on his "worldwide network of contacts," "24-hour availability and personalized attention," "aplomb and diplomacy," and his patience in working tirelessly to help schools make a successful appointment.

The new Principal will be joining a full time faculty staff of 185, with a High School Faculty of 35. They will be joining a staff body that comprises US citizens, host country nationals and third country nationals. The school's mission statement reads:

"Educating students in a bilingual, bicultural and secular environment to be purposeful learners, critical and creative thinkers, effective communicators and community contributors, based on a foundation of honor, freedom and commitment."
