Innovate, Educate, & Excel at Glendale International School in Dubai!

Experience overseas teaching where there is a focus on innovation, creativity, well-being, and holistic development at Glendale International School, Dubai (GIS); offering a high-quality British education that empowers young minds. The school says,

Glendale International School embodies the essence of a closely-knit community, fostering an environment that transcends mere professional connections. It’s a place where camaraderie thrives, bonds are forged, and lifelong friendships are built among people with a shared passion for education. The mental and physical well-being of every Glendale family member is important to us. We have thus designated well-being zones for the staff, for them to catch their breath and relax amidst their hectic schedules, and an hour dedicated every week for their wellness journey.

GIS’s ideal location is in the center of Dubai, surrounded by many other schools and residences. It is also conveniently connected with access to the vibrant city attractions by road or public transport where you can find luxury shopping, ultramodern architecture, lively nightlife, and the diverse restaurants that Dubai has to offer.

Learning and teaching abroad are complemented by thoughtfully designed campus spaces: Immersion Room, Black Box, Play Pod, Primary Pod, a photography room, a football field, courts for tennis and basketball, and more.

GIS delivers the UK Early Years and Primary Years curricula with pending accreditation through British Schools Overseas (BSO). One hundred and eighteen students representing 24 nationalities are currently enrolled in the UK Early Years through Year 8. GIS also implements the award-winning ‘The Leader in Me’ program, a school-wide, systematic approach to promoting child development as leaders, thereby reducing discipline referrals and increasing student achievement. One hundred percent of both the student population and teaching staff are international.

GIS takes pride in providing free activities to all students during a morning hour GIS calls "WellBeing." Offerings range from coding to music to sports, and so much more. Also available are weekly photography lessons for all students, starting from Foundation Stage 1. GIS is proud to be hosting its first school production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the end of the academic year.

GIS ideally seeks certified international teachers and would consider international teaching interns. Candidates must hold an academic degree in the subject they will be teaching. As per government regulations, those up to the age of 60 may obtain a work visa.

The benefits package for teaching abroad includes a non-taxed salary, a settling in allowance, and annual airfare. Tuition is 50% for up to two children. GIS provides both internal and external professional development opportunities for its international teaching staff. Worldwide health insurance—except the U.S.—is fully covered and includes dental.
