International School of Ulm/Neu-Ulm, Germany Appoints New Director

Senior Associates Ralph Jahr and David Cramer announced that the worldwide search has ended. The International School of Ulm/Neu-Ulm (ISU) has chosen Dr. Liam Browne as its new director, beginning in July 2016.

Dr. Browne is currently High School Principal of the International School of Stavanger, Norway. Prior to that, he was Director of Studies at St. Nicholas School in Sao Paulo, Brazil and High School Principal at the Franconian International School. He started his career in international education at the International School of Stuttgart, Germany. He has 20 years experience in international education, with 10 of those years in senior administrative positions. Dr. Browne holds an undergraduate degree, MA and a Ph.D. in history from his native Ireland. At present, he is pursuing a second doctorate in Educational Leadership at Walden University in the U.S. He has recently been appointed as an adjunct professor at Endicott College, teaching summer courses as part of their Masters program in International Education.

ISU, founded in 2005, remains a small school, having grown its student population to 200 pre-K-12 students. This International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offers the Primary Years Program (PYP) and the Diploma Program (DP). Middle school students follow the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) program. ISU is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Students also prepare for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). Search Associates congratulates both Dr. Browne and ISU on their impending collaboration.
