Mark Rosenblum Appointed as Next Director for Hillel Academy, Jamaica

Search Associates is pleased to announce that the search for a new Director for Hillel Academy in Jamaica has been successfully concluded. Although the time frame was very short, we were fortunate to present the school's Search Team with an illustrious and intriguing shortlist of candidates, all of whom were eminently qualified and well suited for the challenging position. From that field, three candidates were invited to Jamaica for face-to-face interviews, and in the end, Mark Rosenblum emerged as the chosen candidate.

Mark has been Head of School at the San Diego French American School for the past six years, and prior to this, he was High School Principal at the French American School of New York City. His motto for challenging times: "You cannot predict the end until you move through it."

One of Mark’s early teaching experiences was at the Lycée International de Saint-Germain-en-Laye near Paris. In addition to native-like French, Mark speaks Spanish fluently and several other languages to a lesser degree. Outside of school, he enjoys time with family and friends, cooking, and playing golf.

Mark made his appreciation of other cultures, values, and traditions clear throughout the process, and Hillel Academy’s values of openness, humanism, ethics, and kindness reflect well his own approach to school leadership. Mark says,

It seems a perfect match in both directions. I am so excited about the warmth of the community; the school's mission, vision, and aspirations; and the diversity, culture, and history of the school and of Jamaica.

Search Associates is certain that Mark is the perfect fit to guide the Hillel community into a bright future for the benefit of its students.
