Jennifer Imholt

Jennifer Imholt brings a deep passion for global education to her work as a Senior Associate, where she has supported international educators since 2017. Over a 23 year career as a teacher and administrator, she spent nearly twenty years living and leading in overseas school communities. A fluent Spanish speaker with a real feel for how international schools work, she is well suited to the educators she supports in and around Latin America and beyond.

Her path began at Washington State University with a B.A. in Communications and Public Relations, followed by a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from City University. After teaching locally for two years, Jennifer and her husband, Bob, set out on a nineteen year run across Qatar, Japan, Venezuela, Paraguay, and Colombia. Along the way she served as Primary and Elementary IEP Case Manager at Colegio Nueva Granada in Bogotá, then expanded into administration at the International Community School of Abidjan in Côte d’Ivoire, stepping into the roles of Pre-K through 12 Curriculum Coordinator and Interim Lower School Principal, before returning to the U.S. to teach in a Spanish dual immersion bilingual program in Buffalo, New York.

Beyond her recruitment work, Jennifer is grounded by a life shaped by her own years as an expat. Alongside Bob, she raised a college aged son who grew up overseas as a true Third Culture Kid, moving between countries and school communities as the family did. That experience informs how honestly she talks with educators about what a move abroad asks of a family, and what it gives back.

Now based back in the Pacific Northwest at the Washington office, Jennifer is grateful for the scenery and the nature of the West Coast. When she is not working with educators, she loves exploring the world through travel and unfamiliar food, hiking local trails with her family, and tending to her chickens.
