About Neil
Neil Kilah came to international education by a roundabout route, after earlier careers in urban planning and logistics, including managing international courier operations and driving taxis, and a long stretch of backpacking. He found his footing as a librarian, first spending five years as a library supervisor in the national polytechnic system of the United Arab Emirates, then attending the Search Associates Dubai fair as a candidate himself and taking a role as Library Services Manager at Nanjing International School in China, where he stayed six years.
Looking for something new after Nanjing, Neil added qualifications in ESL and in editing and publishing, and moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand. At Search Associates he helps educators through the application process, troubleshoots registration problems, and handles registration for the East Asia fair in Singapore and the London January fair. Having gone through this process himself, from the other side of the table, he knows where new registrants tend to get stuck.
Neil lives in Chiang Mai.
