Meet Our Fair
Known for Its Friendly, Personal Feel
For more than 30 years, the Cambridge Job Fair has been at the heart of Search Associates. Founded by John Magagna as the company’s first fair, Cambridge remains our flagship event and a trusted meeting place for international schools and educators from around the world.
Each year, more than 200 school leaders representing 100+ international schools come to Cambridge to meet approximately 300 educators. For experienced international educators, it offers exceptional access to schools worldwide. For those considering their first move overseas, Cambridge offers something online recruiting simply cannot: the opportunity to immerse yourself in the international school community, meet school leaders face-to-face and explore where an international career could take you.
Led by CEO Jessica Magagna, Cambridge offers the opportunity to secure interviews in real time while allowing schools to get to know you beyond your résumé. Add the warmth, personal attention and exceptional support that define this fair, and Cambridge is one you won’t want to miss. We hope to see you there!

This is a competitive fair best suited for experienced, well-qualified educators, preferably those who hold current teaching credentials. International school experience is not required, although candidates who already have it often do particularly well.
Cambridge is also the only Search Associates fair where schools interview educators who have been accepted into our Intern Program. Please visit our Paid Internships page for more information.
Candidates should be serious about pursuing an international opportunity and, ideally, flexible about where they are willing to go. The fair is an excellent fit both for experienced international educators seeking their next school abroad and for strong educators exploring international education for the first time. Openness, flexibility and a genuine readiness to engage with schools can make a significant difference in the opportunities available at Cambridge.
Cambridge is one of the more eclectic fairs in the Search Associates lineup, drawing schools from across the globe rather than concentrating on any one particular region. Each year, more than 100 international schools are typically represented, spanning most continents and a wide range of educational settings.
That diversity gives candidates the opportunity to explore schools and locations they may not previously have considered. School leaders come to Cambridge ready to meet and interview candidates across a broad range of teaching and leadership positions. Whether you are looking to continue your international career in a new part of the world or are considering your first overseas opportunity, Cambridge offers exceptional access to a truly global mix of schools and communities.
No. Cambridge does not cater to one particular curriculum. Because the fair attracts such a broad mix of international schools from around the world, schools attend with a variety of curricular models, including American, British, IB and other national or international programs.
Candidates do not need experience with every curriculum represented at the fair. Schools will be looking at your overall teaching experience, qualifications, subject expertise and fit for their community. Experience with a particular curriculum can certainly be an advantage for some positions, but it is not a requirement for attending Cambridge. Flexibility and openness to different school models can significantly broaden the opportunities available to you.
Attending the full fair schedule is always the best strategy, but we understand that work commitments can make that difficult.
Friday is dedicated to registration and workshops designed specifically for educator attendees, so arriving Friday provides the fullest experience. Candidates who need to minimize time away from work may arrive Saturday morning instead. Late registration is available from 7:00–7:45 a.m. on Saturday, and all attendees must be on site and fully registered by 7:45 a.m. Interview requests with schools begin promptly at 8:00 a.m.
Many candidates are then able to depart Sunday afternoon. If you are unable to arrive and complete registration by 7:45 a.m. Saturday, however, you will not be able to participate in the fair.

“In-person fairs are a fantastic way to get a feel for the match between candidate & institution. It's mutually beneficial for candidates & schools to be able to sit down & discuss their respective strengths & perspectives. It's also the most efficient way for both to get a sense of what's available.”

“Attending a fair is so valuable for in-person interactions in a way that zoom interviews can't capture. Many times candidates rocket through our hiring process much faster when we have the chance to meet them in person—not to mention that they often end up being the candidates we hire as well!”

“Attending the fair was incredibly valuable for me. As a Nigerian educator, I found that interacting with recruiters in person is far more effective than relying solely on online applications. I had numerous interviews, & almost every school invited me for a second round. I strongly recommend to attend fairs.”
