The Melbourne Job Fair is renowned for its friendly atmosphere and personalised approach, providing both educators and recruiters with the opportunity to make meaningful connections. Held at Melbourne Business School in Carlton, the Fair gives teachers an early opportunity in the recruitment season to meet international schools and make a strong impression.

Consistently one of the most successful Search Associates fairs for placement rates, Melbourne attracts passionate, experienced educators with a proven track record of success.

We anticipate approximately 30–35 international schools and 100–150 educators will attend, primarily from Australia and New Zealand. Many will be exploring international education for the first time, making the Fair an excellent opportunity for schools to connect with talented educators ready to take the next step in their careers.

Best suited for qualified educators with current teaching credentials and at least two years of successful classroom experience. The Melbourne Fair is particularly well suited to Australian and New Zealand teachers considering international education for the first time, as well as experienced international educators looking for their next opportunity. Schools value flexible, adaptable teachers with strong inquiry-based practice who are open to working in new professional and cultural environments.

The Melbourne Fair attracts a diverse range of international schools, particularly from Asia, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, seeking high-quality educators from Australia and New Zealand. Schools range from established international schools to growing schools looking for adaptable, inquiry-focused teachers who are ready to embrace an international career.

The Melbourne Fair does not require experience in a specific curriculum. Schools particularly value the strong inquiry-based teaching experience common among Australian and New Zealand educators, while experience with the IB, British, Australian or other international curricula can be an advantage.

We strongly encourage you to attend the entire Fair to make the most of interview, networking and recruitment opportunities. Recruiters may schedule interviews throughout the event, so being available for the full program gives you the best chance of securing a position.
