Baltimore: Stop By And Visit Us!

If you plan to attend the regional conference of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) in Baltimore on October 17th and 18th, don’t miss Booth 313. Senior Associate Sally Gordon will be there to chat with you about how Search Associates can help teachers and administrators find jobs overseas.

Sally, with a BA in Music and an MA in Education, has worn many hats within the field of education, both domestically and abroad. Prior to joining Search Associates in 2002, Sally worked stateside and in international schools in Iran, Tanzania, and Peru. Positions she has held: preschool music teacher, middle and elementary classroom teacher, Middle School Principal, Director of a college career center, college counselor, and Director of a Sylvan Learning Center. Sally says,

"I embrace change and enjoy working with candidates as they explore options for the next leg of their journey."

Sally also embraces adventure! This was apparent when she took a 3-year sabbatical to travel the seas of the world on a catamaran with her husband and business partner, Robert Harnell.

A skilled workshop coordinator in the areas of Conflict Resolution and Communication Skills, Sally considers her interpersonal skills one of her greatest assets, after years of teaching, guiding, and counseling young children, teens, and adults. However, Sally admits,

"…the greatest skill I continue to share as a Senior Associate is my enthusiasm to work together with teachers and administrators in helping them to make the perfect match of educator to school."

Sally organizes the job fair each June in Bethesda, Maryland. Be sure to join her there!
