The Search Associates Bangkok Recruitment Fair, hosted by Nick and Paula Kendell alongside Harry and Margaret Deelman, was successfully held January 9–11 at the stunning Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park. The most highly attended Bangkok fair in several years, Search Bangkok 2026 welcomed 608 candidates, 280 recruiters, and representatives from 130 schools. With the highest number of vacancies offered in recent years, the fair underscored the continued value and popularity of in-person recruitment opportunities, where schools and educators can connect meaningfully and share experiences, insights, and aspirations.
Candidates particularly valued early access to vacancy listings, which allowed them time to plan thoughtfully ahead of the afternoon sign-up sessions. Many also appreciated the opportunity to meet with Search Associates advisors for guidance, reflection, and support throughout the process. One teaching couple shared with advisors, “After attending several other fairs, our first time at the Bangkok fair was excellent, with a really positive vibe.” They highlighted the strong sense of connection, the well-designed interview spaces, and the “amazing!” hotel, while also praising the dedication and professionalism of the Search Associates support team. Candidate Tatenda Mafumhe commented:
Attending the in-person job fair was a valuable experience. It provided the opportunity to engage directly with school leaders, gain clearer insight into different school cultures and recruitment processes, and build meaningful professional connections that are difficult to establish online. The face-to-face interactions helped create a stronger personal impression and offered useful guidance for future applications.

Several seasoned recruiters specifically praised the fair’s smooth running, thorough pre-organization and set up, to the high caliber of experienced candidates. A recruiter from Carol Morgan School noted:
The Search Bangkok Fair is the premier job fair dedicated to connecting high-quality teachers with outstanding schools. I am consistently impressed by the exceptional organization of the fair and the caliber of the candidates attending. Truly excellent!
Burnie Burnell had this to say:
The fair was very well organized and managed. Considering the cost of registration, there is incredible value and return on investment. Great networking opportunity as well.

Buzzing with energy, Search Bangkok 2026 fostered a high level of collegiality and genuine connections among schools and candidates actively engaged in conversations, paving the way for their next professional steps.
