This year, school leaders from across the international education community gathered in Toronto for the AAIE Global Leadership Conference, reconnecting with colleagues, sharing ideas, and reflecting on the evolving work of international schools. Search Associates (SEARCH) was proud to participate as a Gold Sponsor, joining partners and peers from around the world for several days of conversation, learning, and collaboration.
This year’s conference also marked AAIE’s 60th anniversary of supporting leadership in international schools, providing a meaningful backdrop for discussions centered on strengthening schools and supporting student growth.
AAIE, the Association for the Advancement of International Education, brings together heads of school, senior leaders, and governing boards to support leadership development and collaboration across the global international education landscape. Each year, the conference creates space for leaders to step away from the day-to-day responsibilities of running schools and engage in thoughtful dialogue about the challenges and opportunities shaping international education.

Throughout the week, the SEARCH team joined school leaders and colleagues in conversations about educator recruitment, consulting support, and the many ways Search Associates works alongside schools across the globe. Team members also attended workshops and conference sessions throughout the week, listening to perspectives from across the field and gaining insight into the priorities and challenges shaping schools across the international education landscape today.
The conference also provided an opportunity for Brent Mutsch and Tim Stuart to reconnect with many school leaders they have worked with over the years and meet with schools currently partnering with Search Associates to identify leaders for their schools. Moments like these reflect the relationships that sit at the heart of Search Associates’ work with international schools.
Nazgol Adili spent time connecting with educators and leaders who shared their professional journeys in international schools. These conversations continue to shape Search Associates’ work supporting candidates and strengthening efforts to create a thoughtful, inclusive, and supportive experience for educators throughout the recruitment process.
As a Gold Sponsor, Jessica Magagna had the honor of introducing keynote speaker Dr. Ulcca Joshi Hansen, author of The Future of Smart. In her keynote address, Dr. Hansen invited school leaders to reflect on how students grow and learn, challenging traditional assumptions about intelligence and achievement while encouraging educators to think more deeply about how learning environments can support both student development and wellbeing.
Search Associates has enjoyed a decades long relationship with AAIE, and gatherings like this continue to reinforce the importance of connection, shared learning, and collaboration across the global network of international schools.
