Search Toronto: Cozy and Personal

With numbers in their favor, an attentive hotel staff, and the close support of Senior Associate Ray Sparks, the 110 candidates in attendance at the 18th annual Search Toronto fair found themselves in a fairly comfy position. Indeed, 40 international schools were in attendance, posting 357 jobs at Sign-Up time. Ray reports,

"At this time, approximately 40% of the candidates have been placed."

Two sponsors contributed to the event's success. For Canadians going overseas, Trowbridge Accounting provided tax advice. SCI, an investment company that also sponsors a few other Search fairs, counseled both recruiters and candidates about investments.

Both recruiters and candidates not only found the venue at the Courtyard Marriott in a convenient location, but they also enjoyed special consideration from the hotel staff, the result of participating in the only event at the hotel at the time. And Senior Associates Sally Gordon and Bob Barlas were on hand to advise candidates.

If loads of attention, support, and opportunity characterize a successful job fair, then Search Toronto 2014 was the place to be.
