Organization Overview:

Suzhou Singapore International School (SSIS) is the only school exclusively owned and managed by the China Singapore International Education Services Ltd. (CSIES). CSIES is the financial, and administrative entity to support SSIS’ successful operation.

SSIS was established in 1996 with the mission to provide an excellent international education to the children of expatriate families.

We realize our vision by encouraging and enabling each of our students to be self-motivated lifelong learners who value other cultures and are responsible, meaningful participants in the international community.

Position Overview:

The CSIES Director of Education Services is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the day-to-day business operations of the school services office, and serves as administrative aide to GM/DGM and Head Of School (HOS).

As the DoES, they will develop a schoolwide culture based on engagement, and relationship building. The DoES will need to create a strategy that will ensure that best services are in place to support the academic program at SSIS.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • MA or MEd degree preferred/degrees in Finance, Business, or Marketing
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a similar position in an educational institution or similar organization
  • Demonstrated track record of strong leadership that is entrepreneurial, flexible, responsive, and diplomatic, including a track record of leading, managing, and developing a team
  • International school experience preferred,
  • Ability to build teams
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skill
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation, skills;
  • Understanding of International Education


  • Forming deep and effective working relationships with the GM/DGM, Head of School, Board, and fellow administrators
  • Provide leadership
  • Able to Plan and lead the work
  • High-level interpersonal skills, including demonstrated relationship building, influencing, and negotiation skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels in a multicultural environment

Specific duties:

  • Supervises Nurse Station, Inventory, School Bus, Facility, Safety and Logistics daily functions.
  • Leads the ISO-compliant system setup, audit and continuous improvement for the above functions.
  • Leads the budget planning and execution of the above functions.
  • Maintains documents necessary for and generated from the above daily functions.
  • Nurse Station: Makes sure relevant health/pandemic control requirements are implemented for staffs, students and partners. Maintains a reasonable stock for healthy/pandemic control materials.
  • Inventory: Supervises the inventory log book to achieve a high accuracy. Leads the quarterly and annual PI count and achieve low variance.
  • School Bus: Explores new routes when need arises. Optimizes existing routes when need arises. Proposes school bus fee based on research.
  • Facility: Supervises the maintenance and running of school campus’ facilities by contractors. Makes recommendations/plans to facilities improvement. Explores reliable partners to formulate proposals and execute.
  • Safety: Leads the overall safety system setup and continuous improvement.
  • Logistics: Facilitates school events.
  • Perform other duties assigned by GM/DGM.
