Chadwick International is the sister campus of Chadwick School, a K-12 school in the greater South Bay area of Los Angeles, which was founded by Margaret Lee Chadwick in 1935. Chadwick International is an authorized four programme International Baccalaureate (IB) world school, offering PYP, MYP, DP and CP. Outdoor Education allows students to develop conflict-resolution abilities and leadership skills through various outdoor experiences. Position Title: Assistant Director of Admissions

Reports to: Director of Enrollment Management & Strategy

Receives guidance from: School administrators

Job Description:

The Assistant Director of Admissions supports all operations within the Admissions Office, including recruiting, event-planning, application review, and retention efforts.  If the Director is absent, the Assistant Director leads the office to maximize efficiency and customer service. In consultation with the Director, the schedule will be flexible, based on the annual cycle and scheduled events for Admissions.


Candidates for this position should possess a bachelor’s degree and experience in admission, recruiting, and/or marketing.  Candidates will be warm, friendly, highly organized, and self-starters capable of working independently.  Familiarity with common office programs and technology (Microsoft Office products, Google Suite, etc.) will be important.  Ideal candidates will have experience working in a school setting.

Job Functions:

General Duties

  1. Provide outstanding customer service to prospective and current school families in person, online, and over the phone.

  2. Lead the office when the Director is absent.

  3. Represent the school professionally in the external and internal communities.

  4. For prospective families speaking English, serve as the primary contact for program and process questions.

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the primary liaison with the Village School for purposes of admission assessments and schedule and coordinate as necessary with the Village School faculty and leadership.

  2. Participate in the planning and execution of all admission events, including information sessions, campus tours, and open houses.  Serve as the primary liaison between the Office of Admission and other departments within the school.

  3. Manage the rolling application process for all candidates, including scheduling visits, follow-up regarding supplemental documents, arranging shadow days, coordinating interviews and testing, and ensuring the Director and principals promptly finalize decisions.

  4. Manage ambassador or buddy programs (including the Parent Buddy Program, in collaboration with CIPA).

  5. Manage social media accounts affiliated with admission operations and monitor all Chadwick social media accounts.

  6. Conduct students interviews, when necessary.

  7. Evaluate applicant materials and assessments and make recommendations regarding admission decisions.

  8. Assist in the creation of application materials, including questionnaires and writing prompts.

  9. Assist in keeping the website updated.

  10. Perform other duties, as requested.


Chadwick International offers an initial contract term of two years (renewable). The salary for this position is commensurate with the significant responsibilities of the position and is competitive within Asia. The School pays the salary in net payment. Other benefits for the position include worldwide medical insurance coverage for the employee and his/her dependents and AD&D insurance for the employee. In addition, the school offers 13% of the salary as an annuity, an end-of-service reserve, professional development allowance, flights home annually, relocation & settlement allowance, meal allowance, cell phone subsidy, comfortably furnished housing, allowance for utilities, discretionary leave of 5 days, and other benefits.
