As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Operations (DoO) is responsible for the logistics of running the school. With a strong understanding of budgets and financial reporting, the Director of Operations works closely with the Head of School and the Business Manager to make sure the finances of the school are well managed. The DoO works with all constituents of the school ensuring contracts, and supply agreements are secure. The role includes an overview of communications with our community, and supporting Human Resources with contracts, ensuring we are operating within the guidelines of Japanese labor laws and requirements.  Please find the Job Descriptions here


We are looking for a very special person for this role. Although there are many business and financial aspects to the role, an understanding of how a school or similar organization works and the importance of keeping student learning in the center of decisions is important. Although speaking and reading Japanese is not a requirement, it is an advantage within this role.
