Founded in 2007, Renaissance International School Saigon is a highly regarded educational institution and one that has served the local and expatriate communities of Saigon with
distinction over the course of the past decade and a half.
Not only is the school fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and received an excellent BSO inspection report, our students graduate into leading colleges and universities
and our IB Diploma scores are consistently above world average.
Our curriculum across Early Years to Y9 is based on the requirements of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). During Years 10 and 11, our students study a range of subjects that lead to the award of the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) whilst our Year 12 and Year 13 students are involved in the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme.
MISSION, VISION and CORE VALUES
Renaissance is driven by a shared commitment to its mission: “As a student-centered, family-focused community, we will guide learners on their journeys towards fulfilling their individual potential, embracing their own independence and internationalism in a safe, supportive and challenging environment”
and by an aspirational vision which is simply to “Be happy. Belong. Be excellent.”
As a Round Square school, we are united around a shared belief in an approach to education based on a collective commitment to the Round Square IDEALS – Internationalism,
Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership and Service – and to four Core Values:
the pursuit of academic and personal excellence,
a student-centred teaching and learning environment,
a strong family focus,
an inherent respect for ourselves, our planet and each other.
The Renaissance facility is purpose built with well-appointed Primary and Secondary classrooms and includes a theatre, gymnasium, a large sports field and a smaller internal field, a 25 metre swimming pool, a modern cafeteria, specialist science laboratories, a designated Maker Space, library and dedicated facilities for Art, Drama and Music. There is a designated Early Years facility which includes its own play space.
Technology is effectively implemented through the curriculum with a small allocation of iPads up until Year 2, the school providing laptops across Year 3 through Year 6 and a Bring Your Own Device programme in Secondary.
