 About Our School

The Canadian International School (CIS) is an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, one of the few schools in Singapore to offer the IB continuum, PYP, MYP and DP.

CIS has a student population of 3,200+ and a professional staff of just under 400.  The school offers students an opportunity to develop through a diverse and rigorous curriculum and a wide range of activities.

Our Campus in Singapore

The Lakeside Campus (Nursery to Grade 12) adopts a school-within-a-school design, creating unique and distinct communities in a school that houses students from Nursery through to Grade 12. The Primary Division is one of four Divisions within the school with others being; Grades 1-6 Primary Chinese English Bilingual, Early Years Division Grades Nursery - Kindergarten, Grade 7 - 12 Secondary. All four divisions work collaboratively for the benefit of the wider CIS community under the “one school” structure.

The school combines state-of-the-art classrooms, learning pods, and other learning spaces to support the inquiry-based approach and encourages a strong sense of community. The Primary Principal is supported by two Vice Principals and the Primary Division will have a student population of approximately 700 to 800.

Included within the Primary Principal’s remit is supervision of our smaller French English Bilingual programme (FEB) and Foundation Programme (FP) for children who do not as yet speak English fluently enough to access the main programmes. Both the FEB and FP Programmes are run by a Teacher in Charge who reports to the Principal.
