Position Overview

The Early Years/Elementary School (EY/ES) Principal leads faculty members and students from PreK–Grade 5, supported by a Vice Principal, PYP Coordinator, a dedicated counselor and two assistants in the EY/ES Academic Office.

This leader will guide curriculum and instruction, mentor teachers, and partner with families to advance CISB’s mission.

The EY/ES Principal is expected to sustain excellence in learning and teaching while nurturing student well-being and expanding opportunities in co-curricular programmes in the after School Activities.

Our modern, purpose built campus was completed in 2006, with area of over 17,000 square metres. The school is well equipped with modern facilities including:
-90 Classrooms with smartboards
-specialist classrooms for Music, Art
-an Auditorium (seats approx. 500)
-a Lecture Theatre (seats approx. 250)

EY/ES specific facilities:

Position Qualifications

Required
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Advanced degree in Education/Educational leadership.
- Minimum of 5 years teaching and 5 years administrative experience at the elementary level in an established, respected school
- Experience in several international schools curriculum and programs.

Preferred
- Experience of working in an Asian setting where English is a 2nd language
- Experience in one of the following external roles: IB Workshop Leader - IB Visiting teams - CIS/WASC/NEASC Accreditation Visiting Teams
- Experience of accreditation
- Experience as a PYP Coordinator
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum design and instructional leadership.
- Understanding of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), and Service Learning
